Dr. rer. pol. Maximilian Schiffers is a political scientist and postdoctoral researcher at the NRW School of Governance, Institute of Political Science, University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. His research interests include lobbying, NGOs and interest groups as well as public policy change and governance in a transforming society. In May and June 2024 he is a NRW Research Fellow at the American-German Institute (AGI), Johns-Hopkins-University in Wasington, D.C., USA.

He holds a PhD from the University of Duisburg-Essen and a M.A. from the University of Munich ( Ludwig-Maximilian-University, LMU).
